We are committed to delivering the mission of our customer, the NDA which is to deliver a world-class programme of safe, cost effective, accelerated and environmentally responsible decommissioning of the UK civil nuclear legacy in an open and transparent manner and with due regard to the impact on communities affected by our operations.

In socio-economic terms, this translates to conducting our operations in a sustainable manner and in such a way as to minimise the effect of nuclear decommissioning on communities local to our sites.

Along with our parent company Nuclear Management Partners and the NDA, we are using joint abilities, which includes budget provisions for grant making of projects to contribute to the delivery of the sub-regional development imperatives in a collaborative and partnering manner. Moreover, it is our aim to stimulate the support and involvement of their respective supply chains in order that the benefits of wealth creation are shared more widely with West Cumbrian communities.
