Capenhurst receives RoSPA award
Sellafield Ltd's Capenhurst site has just been awarded the second highest award in the Chemical Industry Sector at the RoSPA awards ceremony.
The team who were representing the site were delighted to receive the award which is known as "Highly Commended", during the ceremony in Birmingham.
Mike Baily, Head of Environmental, Safety and Quality at Capenhurst said: "This is another fabulous achievement for a small site like Capenhurst, another step up from last year, and a resounding reinforcement of all the work our team as individuals and collectively do to support the Capenhurst Safety First programme.
"Awards are a great recognition for us and for the company, and praise and thanks have already been received from our Directors."
The RoSPA Awards are not just about reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill-health at work; they help to ensure that organisations have good health and safety management systems in place.
