Emma's moonwalk was simply grand

Emma Hancock took part in a midnight marathon walk

Emma Hancock’s fundraising midnight marathon walk around London has raised £1,000 for UK breast cancer charities.

Together with 15,000 other participants, Emma, pictured right, walked 26.2miles around London in eight hours and 50 minutes, starting at midnight.

The trademark look for the walk was for every participant to wear a decorated bra, including the few men who took part.

Emma said: “I can safely say this was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life.

“The most tiring thing about it was the time of day, and it was particularly difficult to see the sun rising and realising I was only half way.

“I’m proud that I managed to complete it and to raise such a lot of money but it was an extremely tiring and long night.

“I’d like to thank all my generous colleagues for sponsoring me and helping me raise these valuable funds.”

Emma’s £1,000 was donated to the charity Walk the Walk, an umbrella organisation representing a number of breast cancer charities.
