Party Science Show proves a blast for Workington pupils

Sellafield Ltd’s education team made science fun for St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Workington this week when they presented their ‘party science show’.

The entire school of 57 pupils took part in a day of circuits workshops, light and electricity workshops as well as senses experiments with taste, touch and smell

The finale to the day was the party science show which was hosted by Sellafield Ltd education co-ordinator, Corrin Nichols, and retired Sellafield worker, Les Baker who volunteers through the Science and Engineering Ambassador (SEAS) programme

Corrin said: “It’s a pleasure doing these educational workshops to local schools and just proves that delivering the national curriculum doesn’t have to be boring and mundane. I don’t know who has more fun the pupils or me.”
