A fantastic £12,000 has been raised for children’s cancer and leukaemia charity CLIC-Sargent by Sellafield Ltd employee Steve Doran and friends.

The 600 mile cycle ride was completed in six days and started out from the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and finished in Clic Villa, Edinburgh.

Steve Doran who works on the Sellafield site said: “Completing the cycle ride along with my friends Steve Lovell and James Hartley was a great achievement.

“I’d just like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped, sponsored and encouraged me to do this ride."

The children’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent, aims to ease the burden of childhood cancer on children, young people and their families by helping them with the difficult journey from diagnosis through to treatment and continued support.
