Sellafield Power Supply
Sellafield Ltd has experienced a short disruption to its power supply this morning. The power has now been restored and the cause of the issue is being investigated.
Some plants have been shut down as a purely precautionary measure, in line with well rehearsed and practiced procedures. There are no safety or security implications as a result of the disruption, and there are no reported injuries.
We are experiencing some issues with the site’s internal communications network.
We will keep people informed and updated throughout the afternoon.
