CTM Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get trained on CTM?
A comprehensive supplier user guide is available from the CTM homepage. If you are still having difficulties, you can contact Commercial Systems Application Support (CSAS) via e-mail at csas@sellafieldsites.com.

I have forgotten my password and logon id, can someone tell me what it is please?
Contact your CTM Company Administrator, if this is not possible email your request to: csas@sellafieldsites.com; they will advise your user name and new password.

How do I set up another user within CTM
See the User Guides on this website. Click here to access the user guides.

There is a message in CTM that I cannot open.
When you first register your company, CTM sends you an external email confirming registration, and a dummy message within CTM, which appears in the message inbox but cannot be opened.

If I accept an RFI by mistake what do I need to do?
As a courtesy, let the buyer know you no longer wish to participate - the easiest way to do this is to send a message via CTM. Pressing the Accept button does not commit your company to completing the RFI, if you do nothing you will be automatically locked out when the ETQ (End Time Quotation) times out.

Why do I have to miss out currency symbols, commas and full stops when entering monetary values in CTM?
The software is designed to work worldwide, and different countries use different ways to indicate thousands and decimals. After you have entered a figure, CTM will display it in the currency based on the country associated with your user id. Entering non-numeric data will cause errors to the recorded value, and may prevent other answers from being saved.

Can I submit a quotation more than once?
You can submit a quotation as many times as you want, until the ETQ has timed out. Later submissions will overwrite earlier ones, so the Buyer will only see your latest submission. The Buyer cannot see any of the submission until the ETQ has timed out. It is better to submit early and update information, rather than leave the whole submission until the last minute.

I am having a problem opening/downloading drawings on a tender, supplied in '.TIF' format.
The solution is to access the 'Google Search Engine' and search for 'IRFANVIEW' - this is software that comes as a free download on the http://www.computeractive.co.uk/vnunet/downloads/2129006/irfan-view-92 website.

I am having problems Uploading / Downloading documents what do I do?
This is likely to be due to missing active-x settings on your PC. See active-x settings in your Supplier User Guide available from your CTM home page.

I have a question on the commercial/financial/technical part of the RFI/RFQ - who do I contact?
Contact the Buyer responsible for the RFI/RFQ (the contact name is on the invitation), or use the messaging system within the RFI/RFQ.

Is there any cost to a supplier for registering and remaining on CTM ?
No.

My company does not have a registration number - we are non-UK, or a UK partnership/charity-type company - the registration form requests VAT no/Co Regn no - can we still register?
Complete your registration and input 'n/a' or 'partnership/charity' in the relevant boxes, and submit.

Do we have to re-register every time we want to respond to a tender ? Does our original registration expire?
An original registration does not expire, and should be used to respond to all RFI/RFQs.

Public Transactions from CTM homepage, or suppliers’ homepage, shows (for instance) 25 public transactions but will only display 12; why is this ?
CTM identifies all 'public' tenders within CTM. Once a tender has moved from RFI to RFQ, it is no longer 'public' – i.e. it has progressed to the RFQ process.

I have registered my company on CTM but this has been rejected as we are already registered - why can't we have more than one registration?
It is our policy to only allow one registration per company as a legal entity (i.e. company registration no, as listed with Companies House). This avoids having a multiplicity of entries for the same company, and Buyers not knowing which one to invite. It is also better for the Company to have one registration only. Note that a Company can log extra users within CTM for themselves.

How do I send a CTM screen dump via email?
When you are in the CTM screen you wish to send press 'Print scrn' and in the body of the email press 'Ctrl' & 'V'.

How do I remove completed tenders from my Ongoing list in My Quotations / Bidding Events?
Once the tender owner closes it down it will move from your Ongoing list to your Completed list. You can request the tender owner to close it down by clicking on the Title, in your Ongoing list, then messages>New Message and send a message to the tender owner.

Do I need additional CTM user names / passwords to access Magnox North, Magnox South and LLW Repository CTM sites?
No – your original CTM user name password is good for all ex-BN Group sites. You can see opportunities from all sites by logging onto your normal CTM site, select Public Projects then change the dropdown from Local (where you view the opportunities from that site) to All where opportunities from Sellafield, Magnox North, Magnox South and LLW Repository are displayed.
