Partner, Assess, Innovate and Sustain - PAIS
As you may be aware, the PAIS teams have now completed their work and have submitted their report, containing 69 recommendations and 14 focus areas, to the executive team.
The recommendations and focus areas that Commercial are leading on are:
1. Re-engineering of procurement policies and procedures
2. Strategic supplier relationships
3. Re-alignment of Commercial to provide fit-for-purpose organisation
4. Purchase Order transaction management
The successful completion of these recommendations over the coming months will see us better able to support the business through the site-wide projectisation process which is being rolled out; engaging with the supply chain to deliver benefit to the business; and stripping away unnecessary procedures that can cause delays in us being able to do our jobs effectively.
It wasn’t possible to involve everyone in the PAIS project but I would like to take the opportunity to thank those of you who were involved and to encourage everyone to keep looking for ways to improve they way we work. If you have a suggestion for an improvement please let the Supply Chain Ombudsman know. Your input and contributions have and will help us on our journey of continuous improvement and make a real difference to the success of the organisation.
There will be further communications on how we are progressing with our recommendations.
