Waterman Civils (formerly Waterman Burrow Crocker), has developed a strong team of nuclear engineering related professionals covering a wide range of engineering and safety services. Allied to this is the ability to call on a national network of highly experienced engineering staff from within the Waterman Group.

The origin Waterman Civil's involvement within the nuclear industry lies with a number of specialists who have been working in the field of nuclear power generation since 1981. In that time they have established a high reputation for work on Engineering support, Safety Cases, Risk Assessment, and Independent Nuclear Safety assessment. Initially taking a supportive role to Nuclear Electric, Magnox Electric and their forebears, Waterman Civils has widened its areas of work and now has a strong team of experienced safety case authors, risk assessment and safety specialists covering disciplines including Safety; Mechanical, Electrical, Control and Instrumentation, Structural, Civil and Nuclear Plant Engineering; and Occupational Health and Safety.

Our range of nuclear related services include Civil & Structural assessment and design, Geotechnical and specialist Independent assessment of Civil & Structural safety cases. These services are supplemented by our range of safety services, which include occupational health and safety, system audits, construction, nuclear safety, production of safety cases, hazard analysis, risk assessment and Planning Supervisor services.

The majority of our nuclear related work continues to be for Nuclear Electric and BNFL Magnox Generation, but we are also working in a similar capacity for other clients such as Devonport Management Limited.
