Our core teams are supplemented by specialists in infrastructure, masterplanning and urban engineering, transport planning, ground investigation, environmental assessment, sustainability & renewables, facade engineering, fire engineering, geotechnics and lighting design.
Ramboll is a consultant working in the energy market. Our technical experience from the UK and Scandinavia covers energy production, transmission and energy efficiency at end-users. We have worked on conventional power plants, CHP, waste to energy, biomass, renewables, district heating, offshore oil and gas, gas transmission and storage.
The essence of our approach to engineering design was recognised with the Queens Award for Enterprise Innovation. We also currently feature at number 31 in The Times Top 100 Companies to Work For, which creates the stable employment base and contacts that are valued by our clients.
As part of the Ramboll Group worldwide, we work with a diverse range of clients. We are involved in major regeneration and infrastructure projects with a capital value ranging from £200,000 to more than £3bn.

Many of our staff have a background in the industries upon which they now advise, enabling us to evaluate options and proposals from the contractor’s point of view and find ways in which risk can be properly evaluated and minimised.

Some of our waste-to-energy team have worked for and with those organisations with National and International responsibility for policy and technical standards, and remain influential in these areas – this puts us in a unique position to anticipate future requirements, minimising design risk and cost exposure to our clients, shaping infrastructure suited to tomorrows demands as well as today’s.
