Occupational Psychology Services (OPS) are a consultancy of Chartered Occupational Psychologists that work with individuals, teams and organisations to identify, develop and manage their potential. We provide consultancy services in assessment and selection, development centres, competency framework design, leadership development, conflict resolution, stress management, questionnaire design, 360 degree feedback, executive coaching, psychological assessment, organisational development and performance review systems, together with delivering psychometric training. OPS have a diverse clientele incorporating UK and international clients in the private and public sectors, blue chip companies, small to medium businesses and local and national governmental agencies.
Our consulting services are always conceived with our client’s needs in mind but several aspects of the OPS approach are consistent irrespective of which service we are providing. We use the expertise and principles of best practice acquired over many years of successful consultancy with clients in industry, education, commerce, health and public services. Every effort is made to learn as much as possible about the organisation such as its culture, structure, vision and contribution to the community. We work alongside representatives of the business to ensure that the process takes their requirements fully into account and that the solutions are effective and relevant to the client and all key stakeholders.
OPS are the UK’s leading independent provider of psychometrics training in BPS Level A, BPS Level B qualifications, which enables delegates to select, administer and provide feedback in ability and personality psychometric assessments respectively. OPS psychologists are expert psychometricians who are trained and experienced in using most of the major UK tests. Dr Glen Fox, OPS MD, is also the author of a number of tests, and a reviewer for BUROS and the British Psychological Society. She is also the co-author of the “CIPD Complete recruitment and selection toolkit”. As we aren’t tied to any test publisher, we can use and recommend instruments purely on technical merit and relevance. OPS use psychological assessment tools for highlighting both selection and developmental needs rather than differentiating between the two.
OPS is currently verified under Investors In People and ISO 9001:2000. Our Principal Psychologist is the co-author of the CIPD’s Complete Recruitment and Selection Toolkit. We are regularly asked to review psychometric tests for British Psychological Society literature.
