Nuclear Filter Technology (NucFil) is founded on a unique product that safely vents gases through a robust, chemically inert and radiation resistant carbon-bonded-carbon composite filter. NucFil has provided the Department of Energy (DOE) with various drum filter vents, packaging, shielding and characterization technologies for ventilation, storage, transportation and disposal of radioactive and mixed waste for over 20 years.
NucFil has an in-house Machine Shop and Quality Assurance Program that is NQA-1 Certified. Additionally, we have a specialized staff of scientists and engineers available to provide engineering, design, fabrication, testing and analytical services.
Our ability to design, manufacture, test, and certify new products to solve problems for Low Level Waste, TRU Waste, Intermediate Level Waste and High Level Waste has made us an industry leader and provider to the nuclear industry. With multiple patents and over 100 products, we currently provide: multiple sized and configured filter vents; various sized stainless steel and vented packages for plutonium oxides; HEPA filtered waste bags; and entire engineered systems capable of venting and characterizing legacy waste drums.
