Weather warning: high winds
The Met Office is warning that high winds are likely to affect the North West of England this evening (Wednesday 7 December) and throughout Thursday.
People should take particular care during these weather conditions, and we strongly advise against business travel. The coach service between Risley and Sellafield will not operate on Thursday 8 December.
On the Sellafield site there are a number of areas where strong winds cause particular problems and safe alternative routes will be identified.
There is also a risk of structural damage in high wind conditions, and all personnel are advised to take extra care around buildings both on and off our sites.
